Learn more about me and my reading journey.

Well, hello there.

Raffa hello

Looks like you’ve stumbled upon my humble little blog. Welcome! After years of reading, hundreds of reviews penned (or typed, rather), much consideration, and a lot of work setting up this account, I’ve decided to take the plunge and try my hand at blogging.

Maybe you’d like to know a little about me? Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Anto, and I’m from Argentina land of tango, mate, and Lionel Messi. I’m a 90’s kid, a cat lady, a tea aficionado, and make a kickass tiramisu (I’ll share my recipe if you ask nicely 😉)

I’ve loved reading since always. Some of my earliest memories are of reading short stories in one of my school books in the first grade. That was my gateway. A silly children’s story about two dogs named Raimundo and Esmeralda. Mind you, more than twenty years have passed since, so the fact I even remember the names of the characters in that first story I ever read on my own should give you an inkling about how deep my passion for reading goes.

I’m not a native English speaker, as you may have guessed; Spanish is my mother tongue. I started studying English when I was around eleven or twelve years old. A couple of years later, I discovered Twilight, and more importantly, Twilight fan fiction. A couple of years after that, when I had a better grasp on the English language, I started migrating toward fan fiction written in English (there was just SO MUCH more content!) I even tried my hand at writing my own. Which proved to be quite hard and an eye-opening experience! To make a long story short, I basically never went back. E-books started gaining popularity, I came across the marvelous, life-changing device known as the Kindle Paperwhite, and now here I am. Reading in English full time and a full-fledged bibliophile.

Well, maybe not quite a bibliophile.

Now, what types of books do I read? Genre-wise, I’m not very adventurous. Romance is my absolute weakness. I read a little YA, but mainly stick to New Adult and Adult, and split my time, depending on my mood, between contemporary and non-contemporary. Romantasy is my jam, and I’m very partial towards enemies-to-lovers and why choose.

I’ve been featured on FeedSpot’s 20 Best New Adult Blogs and Websites in 2025, have been ranked as a top 1% reviewer on Goodreads, and read from both best-selling authors backed by top publishing companies, small presses, and self-published authors. As long as the work is good, I don’t care where it comes from.

I also very much love historical fiction (mainly 18th and 19th century), but I prefer to get my fix of that through movies and TV shows. I just can’t give up the gorgeous visuals of all those lovely costumes and breathtaking settings! I’m always on the hunt for the next Jane Austen adaptation.

I’m also a huge fan of GIFs and memes, in case you haven’t guessed yet. I like adding them to my reviews for more of a fun, personalized touch. So, if you stick around, you’ll be sure to see a ton of those.

So, now you know a little bit more about me.

If you’ve made it this far, tell me what your favorite book is in the comments. Or genre, or author. I always look forward to getting recommendations from fellow bookaholics! Or find me on any of my social media (links below) and let’s talk books! Or fanfiction even LOL. I’m also big on movies and TV shows, and since late 2020, I’ve become a HUGE fan of K-dramas 🇰🇷 and an unconditional ARMY💜, so if you have any favorites on any of those fronts, I’m all ears.

Happy Reading!~
