Brunch Babes (The Brunch Babes #0.5)

by Jessalyn Jameson

Rating: ⭐4/5⭐

Don’t get mad… get brunch!

When Brea Pompeo’s fiancé bails on her just days before the wedding, her best laid plans come to a screeching halt. But Brea’s girlfriends won’t let her crumble, and they certainly won’t let her waste another minute on a man who doesn’t deserve her time. The girls quickly rally to show Brea that there’s nothing stronger than sisterhood—and there’s nothing that can’t be fixed with bottomless mimosas. And with that, the Brunch Pact is formed:

A Standing Monthly Date ✓
Bottomless Mimosas ✓
Girl Time ✓

BRUNCH BABES is a prequel novella, an introduction to the Brunch Babes. Here’s what you can expect from the Brunch Babes series:

Fierce Female Friendships ✓
Swoon-worthy Love Interests ✓
Happily Ever After ✓

I can’t believe I’d never read anything by the wonderful Jessalyn Jameson until a few days ago. Why did no one ever tell me about her?!

This little prequel novella was absolutely fantastic. Honestly, Jessalyn may the the master of writing wholesome, healthy, funny female friendships. I just wanna plop down in between these women and be best friends with them, too.

Sex and the City was before my time, but if you’ve watched The Bold Type (which is pretty much the 21st century, millennial Sex and the City), you’ll know what the vibe of this story was. Just picture Jane, Sutton and Kat like five years in the future, and you’ll get a sense for Brea, Brynn, Kelsey and Nessa. Strong, confident women, chasing their dreams and kicking ass through life’s ups and downs. Together.

I loved how there were 2 chapters from each of their POVs to get a sense of who they each were as people and do a mini introduction to what I’m guessing will be the main plot lines of their own individual stories. Kelsey and Brynn were my favorite, but I’m so excited to dive into all of them!
